What Will Geomagnetic Activity Be Like?
Throughout the day, the Kp index will fluctuate mainly between 2 and 3 points. This is significantly below the threshold for a magnetic storm, as, according to the international scale, a geomagnetic storm begins only at a Kp of 5.
According to the preliminary forecast, the solar wind speed will remain within normal limits, and the level of geomagnetic disturbances will be low. Therefore, no serious impacts on the operation of equipment or communication systems are expected.
