Magnetic Storms on July 28: Are Geomagnetic Disturbances Expected?

Author: Andrew Orobets

On Tuesday, July 28, no significant magnetic storms are forecast. According to preliminary data from NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center, geomagnetic activity will remain at a moderate level—with a K-index of about 3–4, which corresponds to weak disturbances and does not reach the level of a magnetic storm.

For most people, these space weather conditions should not affect their well-being. At the same time, some people who are sensitive to weather changes may experience fatigue, drowsiness, or a mild headache. Experts advise maintaining your usual sleep schedule, drinking plenty of water, and avoiding excessive physical exertion.

It’s worth remembering that space weather forecasts are updated regularly, so the geomagnetic activity level may be adjusted as new data becomes available.
